We should be thinking bigger.Gardening is not just gardening, it is a respect for the planet and a hope and plan for the future. We use our oceans as a giant commode. We don't concern ourselves with which animals will be the next to go extinct. We are poor stewards of the earth. Let's define the problem: Is it pollution? global warming? Welfare? All of these things are caused by overpopulation. But no one wants to address the topic of population. Especially population control. However, on my MG trellis, a group of MGers in my county have been holding monthly seminars for the community on garden related topics. Although it took a couple of months to get a good following, the response has been very positive. We've also utilized a Facebook page to reach the community. Interestingly, we got "likes" from all over the state and country!Lady Bughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09188170876330561922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2590427344979955390.post-18895980595096037492012-08-14T13:58:47.083-07:002012-08-14T13:58:47.083-07:00Congrats to Paulding. I've had the opportunity to visit five other MG chapters across north Georgia in the past few months and learned so much about how they run their meetings, what projects they have, fund raisers, programs and on and on that I could bring back to my chapter. It's great to have a forum to do that now. Keep up the good work.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
